Andreya Krieves, President
Board Term: 2020-2022
About: Works at the D51 Foundation and active in local issue campaigns. Former middle and high school teacher.
Parks and recreation/outdoors are important to me because: They bring us joy! Being outside gets us away from our screens and our silos and allows us to appreciate our connection to our community and environment.
Favorite Activities: I’m happiest when I’m outside! The best days are the ones where I get out of town and onto a trail – whether that’s running, skiing, biking, or camping. It’s even better when I get to do it with my husband and young sons!
Linda Norman, Secretary
Board Term: 2000-2023
About: Retired, former business agent with state, national and international unions; union organizer; and extensive involvement in K-12 education.
Parks and recreation/outdoors are important to me because: Access to varied healthy indoor and outdoor activities are critical for healthy bodies and minds. I believe it’s the responsibility and duty of all citizens to work to ensure the health of their communities by providing appropriate areas for recreation and communal activities.
Favorite Activities: Sports, both team and individual, were important in my formative years. Access to swimming facilities, walking, hiking, biking paths, ball fields, and green areas lead to a deepened appreciation for all of nature. Coaching children from grades 2-12 gave me personal enjoyment. I enjoy fishing, walking, hiking, camping, bicycling, and just being outdoors.

Parks and recreation/outdoors are important to me because: Moving your body every day and having the access to do that is key to a balanced lifestyle. The importance of offering the ability to do that in a variety of ways keeps it interesting!
Favorite Activities: I enjoy all outdoor activities! Running, hiking, skiing, mountain and road biking are my favorites at the moment. Exploring new destinations with my husband and son while making it fun and healthy is important to me.
